Saints will get trophy if they clinch title

WELSH Premier officials are gambling on favourites The New Saints clinching the Welsh Premier crown by taking the trophy to Aberystwyth's Park Avenue on Saturday.

A draw by the seaside will probably be enough to clinch the prize, with Llanelli needing a big win at Prestatyn's Bastion Road to overhaul Andy Cale's men on goal difference.
Officials have decided not to lurk midway between the two games before rushing the silverware to the appropriate venue.
So, if the Reds do succeed after their gruelling run-in, they will have to wait to get their hands on the trophy until a midweek presentation at Stebonheath Park.
"Aberystwyth are going for third place so it will be very difficult," says Saints assistant manager Mike Davies.
"But at least it’s in our hands and you can’t ask for more than that."
