Defender 'JJ' loaned to Newtown

JERMAINE Johnson is going out on loan to Newtown to gain more Welsh Premier experience.

The 21-year-old London-born centre-half was the first signing of the summer for director of football Mike Davies and played a crucial role in the 1-0 Europa League away win at Cliftonville, after coming on as a first-half substitute for Phil Baker.
But he has yet to make an appearance in a league game and Davies says: "Jermaine remains an important member of the first-team squad at Park Hall, but playing for Newtown will give him valuable game time and league experience."
Johnson started his career as a Chelsea youth before becoming a trainee with Derby County.
A regular in the reserves at Pride Park, he spent three months on loan with Stafford Rangers before a permanent move in 2010/11 during which he captained the side for part of the campaign.
