Wildey returns after three-year absence

ONE of The New Saints' prodigal sons, Michael Wilde, has returned to Park Hall after an absence of three years.

The club's second highest goal scorer of all time, Wilde, now 29, originally arrived at TNS in 2002 as a young and raw centre forward from Poulton Victoria.
He scored seven goals in his first Welsh Premier season and more than doubled his tally in the following campaign.
His strength and power continued to develop and he established himself as a first-choice striker, scoring a total of 89 league goals from 135 (+50) appearances.
Voted supporters' player of the season in 2004/5 and 2005/6 he was also included in the league's team of the season in 2005/6.
Wilde left Park Hall in 2009 to join Fleetwood and then had a spell at Halifax Town before joining new club Chester FC.
He went on to score 36 goals from 43 games and played a major role in the club's promotion.
In a season curtailed by injury, he added five from five substitute appearances last season.
Wilde has also appeared eight times in Europe for the Saints, scoring in the 3-2 home win over Latvians Ventspils in 2007.
"Mike is a great signing who will offer serious competition for a place to Greg Draper," says TNS director of football Craig Harrison,
