TNS supports anti-bullying week

TO promote Anti-Bullying Week, The New Saints went into Whittington Primary School on Wednesday morning with West Mercia Police.

General manager Ian Williams, along with first team players Ryan Marriott and Craig Whitfield, joined Community Support Officer Dave Wagg and pupils from the school for a special "Who wants to be a Millionaire" quiz as well as presenting certificates and taking part in fun activities around the Anti-Bullying theme.
"The children thoroughly enjoyed the session and I’m pleased that The New Saints FC were asked to participate in such a worthy campaign," said Williams.
"It also strengthens our commitment to widening our profile in the local community using our players as ambassadors for a variety of initiatives, and hopefully encouraging young people and their families to become lifelong supporters of our club."
"The players were great with the kids and hopefully we’ll be in attendance at The New Saints game versus Rhyl on Sunday as guests of the club," commented Whittington School PE co-ordinator Lauren Evans.
