Ken McKenna returns to Altrincham

FORMER TNS striker and manager Ken McKenna is the new assistant to manager Graham Heathcote at Blue Square Premier Altrincham.

McKenna scored 56 times in exactly 100 appearances for Altrincham and, in 1990/1, his 22 Conference goals almost got Altrincham into the Football League.
He subsequently scored 127 goals in 149 League of Wales/Welsh Premier appearances for Conwy United, Bangor City and TNS, before managing the Saints to three domestic league titles.
Since leaving Park Hall he had a brief spell as manager at Cammell Laird and was then chief scout for his ex-TNS colleague Gary Brabin at Cambridge United, before being released due to financial cut-backs.
