Liverpool development centre at Park Hall

THE New Saints Academy is delighted to announce that Liverpool Football club will be running a development centre out of Oswestry's Park Hall Stadium.

Liverpool's development centre will work closely with The New Saints Academy to identify the local talent in the area, selected players will train with Liverpool coaches with the aim to progress through to the Academy at one of the worlds most successful clubs.
First team assistant manager Mike Davies says: "The New Saints Academy is improving year on year, this is the first year we will have team at every age group and the future looks very bright.
"Having a direct link with a club like Liverpool FC is fantastic for everyone involved, our youngsters are showing great potential and they now have the chance to prove themselves at the highest level."
This isn't the first time that The New Saints and Liverpool FC have crossed paths. Steven Gerrard scored five of Liverpool's six goals over two legs when the two clubs met in the Champions League Qualifiers in 2005.
Also Callum Preston, a product of The New Saints Academy has been a regular starter in goal for Liverpool's academy for the last two seasons.
The New Saints Academy runs its own development centre on Tuesdays from 5pm to 6pm during the school term time. Selected players may advance into the club's academy where their progress will be monitored by ourselves and Liverpool FC.
