Saints bid for hat-trick of wins

THE New Saints bid for a third win in seven days when they host Newtown in the Welsh Premier League on Friday night.

And, after two stirring displays against Bangor City, youngster Ryan Marriott is pushing for a starting berth following two goals and a man-of-the-match display in midweek.
Jamie Wood and Chris Seargeant should also shake off knocks to come into contention, while Alex Darlington is closing-in on full fitness and could merit a place on the bench.
Despite losing by the odd goal in five at Llanelli's Stebonheath Park last weekend, the Robins are in good heart, with on-loan Wrexham striker Obi Anoruo looking to add to his goal a game record, while ex-TNS striker Nicky Ward is also in the visitors' ranks.
Saints' assistant boss Mike Davies is also relishing the visit of his former boss at Latham Park, Darren Ryan.
"They are a brilliant club and it is always good to meet up with Darren, who is a great friend of mine," said Davies.
"I really enjoyed my time at Latham Park and Newtown will always be close to my heart but for 90 minutes I will be as committed as anyone to the TNS cause."
Davies insists Newtown’s displays against Llanelli and Rhyl had highlighted the Robins emergence this season.
"They were unlucky in both games and we know that we face a difficult evening against a good footballing side," he added.
