Former Saint Toner has a point to prove

FORMER Saints' striker John Toner returns to Park Hall for the first time since being released in the close season.

Allowed to leave after 10 years' service, the prolific Welsh Premier marksman has a point to prove after joining visitors Bala Town, who have made the best start ever to a season by a newly-promoted club.
Bala slumped to their heaviest defeat since joining the top flight last Friday, losing 4-0 at home to Rhyl, and manager Colin Caton is tipping the Lilywhites to retain their crown.
"Rhyl are the best team we have played by an absolute mile," he said.
Another former Saints' favourite, midfielder Ricky Evans, misses the fixture after receiving a one-match ban following his late dismissal in the Rhyl game.
The Saints have few selection problems with the majority of the squad now fit, although long-term absentee Alex Darlington is not in the reckoning and Ricky's brother Steve Evans may also be sidelined again with his calf injury.
