Cup shoot-out woe for TNS Youth

TNS suffered the agony of being knocked-out of the FAW Youth Cup on penalties by Buckley Town at Park Hall on Sunday.

Leading the 10-man visitors 2-1 in stoppage time, the young Saints conceded a goal to Asa Hamilton, who fired a superb 20-yarder into the top corner.
Neither side could break the deadlock in extra-time and, after 11 perfect penalties, centre-half Jamie Evans fired his effort over the bar to send the Bucks into the third round.
Despite dominating the first-half and missing a host of chances, TNS were a goal down at the break after Keiron Moore ended a game of pinball in the box by firing past keeper Gareth Barker.
But the Saints hit back after the break with a brace from Marcus Ashley, who first held of a defender's challenge before sending a low shot inside the near post from 20 yards.
Eight minutes later he raced onto a through ball to produce a cool finish but, despite the dismissal of Neil Astbury for elbowing in the 83rd-minute, it was the Bucks who came out on top.
