Same again will do for Saints
Wednesday 18 November 2020
THE eleven that pulled-off Sunday's 2-0 win at Llanelli are likely to get the nod to start Wednesday night's League Cup semi-final second leg.
With the tie against Port Talbot Town poised at 0-0 after the first leg at the GenQuip Stadium a week ago, assistant manager Mike Davies again takes charge in the enforced absence of head coach Andy Cale.
And he is looking for another similar performance to the one which saw the Reds outplayed in every area by the Saints' best display of the season.
A back four which shut-out Rhys Griffiths and Craig Moses so effectively at Stebonheath Park is now faced with Liam McCreesh, Martin Rose and Drew Fahiya, who have 21 goals between them this season.
An away goal would put a different complexion on the tie, so another clean sheet could prove crucial in deciding who meets Rhyl in the final.
