Jones skippers nine-man Wales to Irish draw

CRAIG Jones captained Wales to a 2-2 draw against Northern Ireland in Portadown on Tuesday night.

The Saints' wingman was handed the captain's armband in the absence of Port Talbot's Lee Surman, who was forced to pull out of the travelling party with an injury.
Aeron Edwards also started in midfield for the Welsh, who opened-up a two-nil lead inside 24 minutes with goals from Haverfordwest's Jack Christopher and Llanelli's Craig Moses.
The Irish pulled a goal back just before the half-hour and Wales had Neath's Sean Cronin dismissed soon afterwards.
He was followed down the tunnel in the second half by Ryan Edwards for a handball offence and, although Stephen Cann saved the resulting penalty, Jay Magee seized on a loose ball in the last minute to snatch a draw.
