Loan star Craig should get a pay rise!

THE New Saints' loanee Craig Whitfield should get a pay rise after scoring against title rivals Neath, according to Elements Cefn Druids' joint manager Waynne Phillips.

Despite being on loan at Plas Kynaston Lane this season, the young striker is making his own vital contribution to the Saints' title bid and, after watching Whitfield score in a shock 1-1 draw at The Gnoll, Phillips said: "No-one gave us much of chance so a performance like that makes it all worthwhile.
"We scored a great goal through Craig. I think TNS owe him a pay rise as he’s now scored to get us draws against two of their title rivals, Rhyl and Neath."
"But it was a fantastic team performance, and the lads were disappointed only to come away with a point in the end, which says it all."
The 20-year-old Whitfield is now the Ancients' leading scorer with three Welsh Premier goals this season from his 14 (+3) appearances in black and white.
