Boh's boss confident of progressing

BOHEMIAN'S boss Pat Fenlon reckons that a tie with The New Saints offers the Irish club the best possible chance of making some progress in the Champions League this season.

"It's a great chance to get through," said Fenlon. "It was good that we were seeded; we avoided a lot of tough teams.
"Getting through is a big financial help, but it would also bring up the coefficient, and that would help us and the league long term.
"We want to get through one round at least - it would make it easier for everyone in the league if we can do that. TNS are ideal in terms of travel and logistics.
"From a football point of view, I'd have liked to stay away from TNS and Linfield as they'd be real derby games, but, overall, it's a great draw. It's good for the club as the travel won't cost a lot and it means the supporters will be able to travel in big numbers."
The Bohs also have experience of playing in Europe on an identical artificial pitch to the one at Park Hall after drawing 1-1 away at Red Bull Salzburg in last season's competition.
"We had one (artificial pitch) last year in Salzburg and did alright on it, it's just what we've go to deal with and see what it's like," added Fenlon.
