Saints' loanees shine on debut

TWO Saints' loanees shone on their debut for new Welsh Premier clubs and scored vital goals for their temporary masters.

Ryan Marriott was voted man of the match by S4C pundit Malcolm Allen as the winger scored Aberystwyth's second goal in a 3-2 live TV victory over Carmarthen Town at Richmond Park.
Marriott scored with a rare header from a right-wing cross as the Seasiders hit back from a goal down, with Steff Edwards and former TNS midfielder Ricky Evans also on the scoresheet.
Earlier in the afternoon, Craig Whitfield scored the only goal of the game to hand ex-TNS coach Andy Cale a victory in his first game in charge of Newtown.
It was also a perfect early birthday present for "Snakey", who turns 21 on Monday, as the Robins beat Haverfordwest County 1-0 away at the New Bridge Meadow, with TNS loan defender Sean Jones also making his debut in Newtown colours.
There was also a win for Bangor City, for whom Dave Morley (penalty) and Eddie Jebb scored in a 2-1 home win over big-spenders Neath at Farrar Road.
