Ten-man Saints still winless on the road

THE New Saints remained winless on the road as they were forced to settle for a share of the spoils in a goal-less draw at Prestatyn Town's Bastion Gardens.

And they played the last half-hour with 10-men after Steve Evans - returning to the side from a club-imposed suspension - blotted his copybook again by kicking out at Steve Rogers and receiving a straight red card.
The Saints totally dominated the first-half but had nothing to show for their efforts, although Richie Partridge rattled the crossbar on the stroke of half-time with an angled shot from the edge of the box.
Partridge had seen an earlier effort just tipped to safety by home keeper Jon Hill-Dunt, who also made a good save to deny Scott Ruscoe.
But the Saints struggled to create openings in the second period and the hosts had the better of the few chances on offer.
Dave Hayes went close with a header after the Saints failed to clear a free-kick before Michael Parker's run down the byline ended with a shot that flew across the face of goal.
Home player-boss Neil Gibson dragged a shot wide from a good position, but the best chance arrived in stoppage time when Lee Hunt's header was well-saved by Paul Harrison as the depleted Saints were relieved to depart with a point.
