Baschurch Juniors enjoy their day at TNS

BASCHURCH Juniors U9’s attended last Saturday's game for their annual bowling/matchday trip to the club and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Phil Wicks, who runs the team, which comprises boys from the two neighbouring villages of Baschurch and Ryton XI Towns, says: "I would like to thank you, Jodie, the players (in particular Steve Evans) and all of the staff at The Venue for making Saturday such a memorable day for the boys.
"They all had a great time and some even said it was the best day they had ever had!
"Everybody that dealt with us was a credit to the club and should be congratulated for that.
"As a supporter of the club I hope to encourage the boys and the parents to attend more games in the future and use the excellent facilities that the club can offer. It looks like one of the boys is going to have his birthday party at The Venue off the back of Saturday's activities.
I would like to form a strong link between the two clubs because I know that five of the boys gain a lot from their experience training with the academy and hopefully playing for TNS as they get older and it would be great to see more families supporting their local professional club."
There are strong links between TNS and Baschurch with players at many age groups playing for both clubs, indeed five of this U9 Baschurch team are members of the TNS academy elite and shadow squads.
