Academy plays Bala Town

On Tuesday night at the Venue The New Saints Academy U12 & U14 teams played Bala in the first Premier Academy games of the season.
The U12’s drew 3-3 with a highly talented Bala and the standard of football played by both teams was a credit to all involved. TNS opened the scoring early on but were soon 1-3 down to a Bala side in full flow.
To the credit of our lads they staged a thrilling comeback which resulted in them getting back on terms 10 minutes from time. Congratulations to both teams for providing superb entertainment for the many spectators present.
The U14s ran out easy winners in their game and played some delightful stuff throughout which resulted in a 10-0 scoreline. All credit to Bala who didn’t stop trying and were a credit to their club.
Good to see that our boys didn’t become selfish after establishing a good lead but kept playing for the team not themselves. Well done.
*Please note that training for the U11 squad has been switched from Tuesdays to Thurdays from 5.00- 6.30.
