Five-star ladies open their account

TNS Ladies gained their first win of the season beating Loughborough Foxes 5-0 on Sunday.
The girls started the game very well and should have been four goals to the good inside the first half-hour, but had to wait until the stroke of half-time to take the lead when Basher Davis rose highest to meet Emily Ridge's excellent corner.
Three minutes after the break the lead was doubled when Sian Skelton played the ball over the top of the Boro defence for Abi Francis to notch her fifth goal in as many games.
Outstanding captain for the day, Alicia Robinson, met an excellent ball over the top with a sublime controlled volley to put the game out of reach from a tiring Boro team on the hour.
On 75 minutes, centre back Skelton hit a wonderful 25-yarder high into the net and 16-year-old sub Kate Doster, making her first team debut, then completed the scoring with a true poacher's goal.
TNS hope this result will kick-start their season when they entertain local rivals Wolves on Wednesday night (October 14) at Park Hall with an eight o'clock kick-off.
TNS Reserves were held to a 1 - 1 draw when they entertained Loughborough with Gemma Higgins getting her first goal for the club.
