Ladies lose on home debut

TNS Ladies made their home debut on Sunday but, despite dominating visitors Rotherham United, lost 3-1.
Despite a bright start, the hosts gifted the Yorkshire girls an early lead, but quickly responded when the lively Abby Francis was set-up by winger Courtnie Cassidy.
Rotherham soon restored their advantage and, although TNS camped in the United half after the break, they were unable to produce an end product.
The visitors scored in a breakaway move to ensure the spoils went back across the Pennines.
TNS hope to put things right on Sunday when they travel to South Birmingham to play Leafield Athletic.
The Reserves again fared much better and took all three points in an impressive 5-1 away win at Leafield.
They opened the scoring after 10 minutes when Chloe Wilkinson delivered the perfect free kick which was headed into the top corner by Laura Jenks.
Five minutes laterthe lead was doubled when Megan Lloyd finished clinically after being set up by Chloe Mapp.
Further goals were added in the second half by 16-year-old Kate Doster and a brace from Sarah Burke.
The Reserves play their first home game of the season on Sunday when they entertain title favourites WBA at Park Hall (2.30pm), all support welcome.
