Ladies finish the season in style

TNS Ladies finished their 2009/10 season in style with a comfortable 4-1 win that relegated opponents Crewe.
TNS took full control from the start and, after just 7 minutes, great work from Alicia Robinson lead to Abby Francis opening the scoring.
Sally Jones found Emily Ridge to make it 2-0 on 14 minutes bit, with TNS pushing for goals, our girls got caught with a long ball and the visitors halved the deficit.
When Jones found the net from 20 yards it looked like a rout was possible before Robinson had to leave the pitch with concussion.
TNS started the second period knowing that another goal would all but seal the game and, when Chloe Mapp scored on 57 minutes with a terrific 20 yard volley, the job was done.
In sweltering conditions, not surprisingly the game's pace slowed and with TNS totally dominant, Crewe were in damage limitation mode to see the game out without conceding again.
With the season now over, TNS are looking ahead to the next campaign and are looking to strengthen thier current squad - any interested players who wish to play at the highest possible standard in the county please contact manager Nicola Parry on 07530 762245.
