YOUTH LEWIS MAKES INTERNATIONAL IMPACT |
|
 |
SCHOLARSHIP youth David Lewis helped Wales to victory over Scotland in an international
last week.
The striker, who has made one substitute appearance for TNS in the Welsh Premier,
came on as a second-half substitute for the Welsh Boys' Clubs Under-18s and laid
on the third goal in a 5-1 success.
His team-mate repaid the favour moments later, for Lewis to hold off a challenge
and slot home the fourth from just inside the box.
And he also assisted in the final goal for the Dragons.
Lewis was in the first intake to the TNS scholarship scheme at Walford & North
Shropshire College and has scored 29 times in 25 starts for the various youth
teams this season.
The Bridgend-born 18-year old was initially a product of the youth academies at
Afan Lido and Port Talbot Town, before joining TNS via a spell at Cheltenham Town |
