TOMMY Morgan could be in pole position to take over the managerial reins at Welshpool Town.
The former League of Wales striker is tipped to take over at Maesydre, following the recent sacking of Russell Cadwallader.
Morgan was sacked by Carmarthen Town after a poor start to the season and is currently with Spar Mid-Wales League outfit Penrhyncoch, who are on the verge of promotion to the Cymru Alliance.
Former NEWI Cefn Druids boss, Steve O'Shaughnessy, has also expressed interest in the vacancy.
Meanwhile, the Druids say they will announce their new manager next Tuesday.
Few have more experience of the Welsh Premier than Morgan, both as a player with TNS and Aberystwyth, and as a manager with Rhayader and Carmarthen Town.
He was also in charge of the Welsh semi-professional side until sacked by the FAW this year.
