RHYL WANT GAZZA AT BELLE VUE |

RHYL are making an audacious bid to lure Paul Gascoigne to the Welsh Premier.
According to Wales on Sunday, the Belle Vue outfit are keen to do business with
the 37-year old fallen England star, who is desperate to extend his colourful
career.
"We are trying to get in contact with Paul Gascoigne," said Rhyl managing
director Peter Parry.
"He is a proven quality player who could add something to our already impressive
side.
"We are eager not to stand still so the directors have been thinking of older
and established players who might be interested in a move to this club."
Rhyl's director of football, Mickey Thomas, said he had spoken to the chairman
to see if the club could approach Gazza. "He's not playing at the moment
and I reckon we could get him if we could get the money together," said the
former Wales star.
Parry is confident Rhyl can succeed in capturing Gascoigne, where TNS failed two
seasons ago.
"We can offer him Champions League football for goodness sake.
"But our manager John Hulse will have the final say if we do get a chance
to sign him." |
