Saints' player
of the year, Steve Evans, lines up in the Welsh semi-pro side tonight |
STEVE Evans and Scott Ruscoe are named in the Welsh semi-professional
side that faces Scotland in the opening game of the four nations tournament.
The TNS duo will line-up at Keith's Kynock Park tonight alongside fellow players
from the Welsh Premier and several from Conference and Dr Martens League clubs.
The Scottish side is drawn primarily from the Highland League and manager Andy
Beattie is confident his side can perform well against the hosts, before facing
reigning champions England on Thursday and the Republic of Ireland on Sunday.
Graham Evans of Caersws and Carl Owen of Porthmadog will lead the attack for the
Welsh, who will be looking to emulate Tomi Morgan's side that won the trophy two
years ago.
