The Traeth will have seating for 500 fans
PORTHMADOG are gearing up for their return to the Welsh Premier with a friendlies against Colwyn Bay and CHester City, among others.
Last season's all-conquering squad have been kept on by manager Viv Williams, but the Anglesey-based players who recently took part in the Island Games, were excused pre-season training this week and will not take part in the weekend warm-up.
Williams is also close to confirming a signing which will bring Welsh Premier experience to his young squad.
He said: ''If everything goes to plan we will announce the signing next week.
"We need one or two players who have played in the Welsh Premier before to help the younger lads.
"Emrys Williams come into that category. He's fit again after missing most of last season with a knee injury and will take part in the game on Saturday.
Meanwhile, with work on the Traeth is nearly completed with seating for 500 spectators.
