GARY Powell and Chris McGinn both fired hat-tricks as Rhyl beat Halkyn United 6-0 to claim their fourth trophy of the season by winning the Amicus North Wales Coast Challenge Cup.
Even without the services of top marksman, Andy Moran, who is on holiday, John Hulse's side took complete control from the kick-off at Morfa Conwy.
Powell put them ahead after 16 minutes, although Cymru Alliance Halkyn almost equalised four minutes later, but Nathan Jones struck the ball straight back at Rhyl keeper Paul Smith after a miscued clearance.
Even though they dominated play, Rhyl had to wait until the 43rd minute for their second goal.
Darren Wild handled in the box and although McGinn's penalty was poorly hit, keeper Alan Tyrrell could only punch the ball out to Powell who steered it into the net.
McGinn made amends just a minute after the interval with a well-taken third.
Powell completed his hat-trick in the 59th minute from the penalty spot, after Marc Limbert was brought down in the box by Kevin Davies and then McGinn cashed in on a mistake by substitute Bevan Humphreys to shoot the fifth.
He then completed his own hat-trick in the 79th minute.
