Gary Brabin faces crucial tests to determine his playing future.
GARY Brabin faces crucial hospital tests as he finds out whether his influential playing career at Treflan can continue.
The 33-year old midfielder's season came to a premature end in early February, when he complained of breathlessness during the fourth round Welsh Cup win at Connah's Quay.
Investigations have shown Brabin has enlarged heart muscles and this week's hospital visit will try to determine whether the condition will prevent him playing in the future.
In he is unable to pull on the TNS shirt next season, it is possible he may remain with the club in a coaching capacity.
But the hope is that he will be able to add to his 47 Welsh Premier appearances for Saints since joining from Chester in 2002.
