FORMER Treflan striker Tomi Morgan is the man chosen to take over the reins at Welshpool Town.
He succeeds Russell Cadwallader, who was dismissed at the end of last campaign after five years in charge at Maesydre.
Morgan came to Saints in 1994, scoring 44 goals in 85 league appearances (15 as sub) before leaving in 1997.
He also won a Welsh Cup medal, scoring the opening goal as Saints went on the beat Barry Town in a penalty shoot-out at Cardiff's National Stadium.
A Welsh semi-professional international, he managed his home town club Aberystwyth in the early days of the League of Wales.
He was later in charge at both Rhayader and Carmarthen, where he was sacked last season after a string of poor results.
