WICKHAM OFF TO PASTURES NEW
NEWTOWN stalwart Justin Wickham is set to leave Latham Park, after rejecting revised terms with the club for next season.
The 28-year old winger has made 282 appearances for the Robins, scoring 56 goals since his switch from Ludlow Town nine years ago.
"The club has met with Justin and made a revised financial offer which he did not find acceptable," says Newtown chairman Phil Trenbath, who paid tribute to Wickham's loyalty during the transitional season under manager Roger Preece.
"We all are grateful to Justin for sticking with the club last season and wish him well for the future. I am sure such a talent will not be short of offers," added Trenbath.
Wickham has already been linked with a host of Welsh Premier clubs, including Aberystwyth Town, Bangor City, Cwmbran Town and Welshpool Town.
