RHYL lost their first venture into Europe 4-0 in Latvia.
They were outclassed by 13-times consecutive domestic champions Skonto Riga, who
led 1-0 at half-time through a goal from Mihails Miholaps.
They fell further behind 11 minutes into the second-half, when Miholaps grabbed
his second goal.
And on 65 minutes, Ignas Dedura made in 3-0 to Skonto, who then brought on Aleksejs
Visnakovs.
The substitute got his name on the scoresheet with 12 minutes remaining, leaving
Rhyl with a difficult task in the second leg at Belle Vue next Wednesday. |
