PORT Talbot have appointed former Welsh international Colin Pascoe as first team coach.
Earlier this year, the experienced former Swansea City and Sunderland striker was a front runner to join Kenny Jackett at the Vetch Field, after spending the last five years coaching the youth set-up at Ninian Park.
The 39-year-old picked up 10 Welsh caps and played in the 1-0 win over Brazil in 1991.
He started his club career with the Swans in 1982 and made more than 170 appearances before moving to Sunderland five years later.
After a second spell at the Vetch he moved on to Blackpool, Merthyr and Carmarthen as well as having a stint in Hong Kong.
"After so much upheaval over the last few weeks with players and half my backroom staff moving to other clubs I am delighted to have Colin on board", said Talbot boss Wayne Davies.
"His experience of the game is invaluable to us and will no doubt help both the younger and the more experienced players in our squad over the coming months."
