TNS Reserves are ready for J T Hughes Montgomeryshire League action this season, but Saturday's opening away trip to Abermule has been postponed.
The Reserves' first game is now on Tuesday night, when they face a mouth-watering
clash with local rivals Four Crosses at Treflan (kick-off 6.30pm).
Promoted from the Mitsubishi Division up to the Honda Division this season, along
with champions Four Crosses, TNS face a tough test under new
manager and former Guilsfield boss Ray Jones.
After guiding the second string to promotion in his first season in charge, Norman
Evans has stepped down and Jones will be assisted by Academy director Martin Pope.
The aim is to bring youth players through the reserve set-up and into the TNS
first team.
Meifod were also elevated to the top flight and are managed this season by TNS
Football In The Community manager, Mike Davies.
Other sides in the division are Bettws, Bishops Castle, Dyffryn Banw, Guilsfield
Reserves, Kerry Reserves, Llangedwyn, Llanwddyn and Llanfair United.
