NOW McILVOGUE JOINS CAERNARFON INFLUX
CAERNARFON Town, have beaten rivals Rhyl to the signature of highly rated striker Jimmy McIlvogue, who joins from Unibond League neighbours Colwyn Bay.
The 28-year old has been with Colwyn since July 1999, when he joined from Conwy United.
'Gilly' has been Bay's top marksman on more than one occasion, scoring 17 goals and picking up the player of the season award in 2000/1.
He has also played for Llandudno and Crossville.
Also joining Town from Llanellian Road is young midfielder Calvin Davies - who was in his second season with Bay after joining from Ruthin Town - and youngster Michael Simpson, who becomes the third player to arrive at Caernarfon from Nationwide Conference side Chester City.
In all, manager Adie Jones has added 11 newcomers to his squad during the close season, including former Oswestry Town player-manager Dave Norman along with two of his players, Mike Maloney and Paul Wilson.
