YOUTH PRESCOTT GIVEN GREEN LIGHT
Neil Prescott (centre) has been given the all-clear to continue playing.
TNS Scholarship youth Neil Prescott has been given the green light to continue playing, after collapsing during Monday night's ECFA Cup game against Stafford Rangers.
The defender was taken to Shrewsbury Hospital as a precaution staying for two nights but after a series of tests no problem was identified.
Former Admaston Junior Prescott is in the second year of the Scholarship scheme at Walford & North Shropshire College and made his Welsh Premier League debut as a first-half substitute goalkeeper against Barry Town in February, following the dismissal of Ged Doherty.
TNS general manager Ian Williams said: "Obviously he has been closely monitored by the hospital over the last 24 hours but he seemed to be in good spirits."
Principal of Walford and North Shropshire College Ron Pugh said: "We know that Neil was kept in again last night and he is having some sort of treadmill-type exercises today because at the moment it's a bit of a mystery why he collapsed."
