WELSHPOOL Town are hoping the Friday effect will help boost their attendance for the visit of mid-Wales rivals Aberystwyth Town.
Town have seen average attendances at Maesydre dwindle from 206 to 144 this season - the lowest in the Welsh Premier League.
The Lilywhites best crown this season and last came on a Friday when Newtown were the visitors and manager Tomi Morgan is hoping for more of the same against his former club this week.
"We had over 400 for the Newtown game and hopefully local people will turn out again this Friday," he said.
"Overall I've not been too disappointed with the crowds this season as we've had games against the likes of Haverfordwest, Cwmbran and Port Talbot who are not well supported away from home."
