ANDY Lee has put pen-to-paper to pledge his immediate future to AberystwythTown.
Lee agreed personal terms after the Ton Pentre friendly and has now signed a contract. His impressive performances in the past four friendly games have persuaded player-manager Gary Finley to make room for him in his new-look squad. He exhibited an important aspect of his game in his most recent performances by linking well with other Black & Greens, especially recent newcomer John Lawless.
Lee hails from Bradford and was a trainee at his home-town club Bradford City until last season. He's not the biggest player in the side, but makes up for that by being so enthusiastic and willing from start to finish.
Despite being only 17 at the time, Lee was in the Bantams squad that played Atalanta in the UEFA InterToto Cup three years ago. He didn't get onto the field though, but he scored a vital penalty against Doncaster Rovers Youth in the semi-final of the Football League Youth Alliance League Cup competition in April 2001. Bradford City Youth met Leyton Orient U19's in the final at the Millenium Stadium, which was a prelude to the LDV Trophy Final.
However, Finley's first pre-season signing, former Sheffield Wednesday, Tranmere and Southport defender, Neil Gibson, has left Park Avenue.
