BANNED Rhyl striker Andy Moran has signed an extension to his contract that will keep him at Belle Vue until May 2007.
Moran was the Welsh Premier League's leading scorer last season and netted 47 in all competitions, but was stripped of his award after testing positive for the banner performance-enhancer Nandrolone and receiving an eight month ban from the FAW.
"Everyone at the club - directors, players and fans - have backed Andy to the hilt throughout this difficult time," says Rhyl manager John Hulse.
"This is his way of showing his faith in the club and we can't wait until he can put the matter behind him in the new year and get back to doing what he does best - scoring goals."
Moran is banned from all football activities until the end of February 2005.
At the time of the drug charge he claimed he was innocent of knowingly using a banned substance, which he said was contained in a milk shake containing dietary supplements.
