Mike Wilde beats Pen keeper Dean Lee for Saints' third goal.
TNS 11-0 Penrhiwfer
Welsh Cup 3rd Round

THE biggest day in Penrhiwfer’s history ended in the drubbing they probably feared as they crashed to an 11-0 defeat.
Only the crossbar prevented Michael Wilde from beating the club scoring record as he notched a personal haul of five to expose the gulf in class between the Welsh Premier and the Welsh League’s Third Division.
It could have been worse but for heroics from keeper Dean Lee, but the visitors battled bravely in the first-half to restrict the full-timers to a two-goal interval lead.
Wilde opened his account after eight minutes with a near post header from Martin Naylor’s cross before Lee Brown almost surprised TNS keeper Ged Doherty with a speculative 35-yarder which just cleared the angle.
Marc Lloyd-Williams was on hand to score the second from close range after King and Lawless had combined.
A double whammy within two minutes of the restart saw Lawless cross for Wilde to side foot home and John Leah send his shot just inside a post.
Goals followed thick and fast from Lloyd-Williams again, John Toner with a brace and Tommy Holmes.
But Pen almost got a consolation at the death when Mike McDonah hit the post and Doherty was forced into his one save of the afternoon from substitute Phillip Evans’ follow-up.
