Mike Wilde's shot beats Lewis Solly for Saints' opening goal
TNS 2-1 Aberystwyth Town
FAW Premier Cup 2nd Round
Wed 10 Nov 2004: Home - Treflan

MARC Lloyd-Williams came off the bench on the hour and within four minutes had fired the vital goal that took Saints into the quarter-finals.
A long clearance was missed by Aberystwyth's Sion James and Mike Wilde flicked on to Jiws, who struck superbly from the edge of the box.
Ken McKenna started with Wilde and John Toner up front and the two combined to give TNS a 21st minute lead. Toner's through ball found Wilde who ran on into the box before placing his shot accurately beyond Lewis Solly.
Jimmy Aggrey fired well over on 25 minutes and Solly was forced to save low down from Toner, but Gerard Doherty was called into action after a superb long ball out of defence found Owen Thomas who sent in a testing shot.
Former TNS midfielder David Bridgwater was instrumental in the Black & Greens' equaliser four minutes before the break. His right wing corner was returned to him by the Saints' defence and he crossed for Sion Meredith to head at the near post.
A poor clearance by Aggrey almost let in Aber five minutes into the second spell, with Meredith forcing Doherty to tip his shot over the angle.
But once in front, TNS held on to their lead despite showing some uncertainty at the back, with the spirited visitors always looking capable of snatching an equaliser, although Wilde had a chance to increase the home advantage near the finish, but his header from Martin Naylor's corner was saved by Solly.
