Marc Lloyd-Williams on the way to a hat-trick against Airbus UK.
HIS third Welsh Premier hat-trick of the season on Friday night has taken Saints' striker Marc Lloyd-Williams within touching distance of a major landmark.
Jiws needs just five more goals to become the first player ever to score 200 goals in the league - and with a current season strike rate of one goal every 45 minutes, few would bet against him achievieng the feat during the course of the next two or three games.
The Llanberis goal-machine has been a revelation since arriving at Treflan in the summer, with 176 Welsh Premier goals already under his belt.
He hit the first 28 for Porthmadog, another 130 for Bangor City in three spells at the club (including 47 in season 2001/2) and 18 for Aberystwyth in his last campaign before joining TNS.
So far, Jiws has notched another 19 league goals with hat-tricks against Airbus, Caersws and NEWI Cefn Druids on Friday night.
Crucially, he grabbed the late equaliser at Aberystwyth and the winners at Rhyl and Porthmadog.
In 13 league games this term (nine starts, four as sub), Lloyd-Williams has hit 19 goals in 873 minutes played, an average interval of 65 minutes between his goals at Treflan and just 36 minutes away from home.
He has failed to score in just three games.
