McKENNA RESISTS KEEPER APPROACH

Goalkeeper Lee Williams wants to stay at Treflan
TNS manager Ken McKenna has resisted an approach from Welshpool Town for second-string keeper Lee Williams.
Lilywhites boss Tomi Morgan wanted the experienced veteran at Maesydre following the loss of Lewis Solly to Aberystwyth and an injury to Steve Goodwin, but Saints were anxious to keep Williams, who only signed a few weeks ago after leaving Connah's Quay Nomads.
The 36-year old former Kidderminster Harriers keeper made 46 League of Wales appearances for TNS between 1999 and 2001, scoring three goals from the penalty spot and has decided he would prefer to stay part of the Treflan set-up and fight for a first-team place should Gerard Doherty lose his place for any reason.
Meanhile Morgan continues his search following an injury to Steve Goodwin who will miss the rest of the season after damaging knee ligaments at work.
Guilsfield boss Mike Barton filled the void last week, but will be back in charge of the Cymru Alliance club this weekend.
