TROUBLED DRAGONS DOCKED 10 POINTS
TROUBLED Wrexham were today put into administration, and became the first club to be deducted 10 points by the Football League as a punishment, but they have vowed to appeal.
An order was granted by a judge at the High Court in Manchester and directors believe the move will stave off closure.
Owner Alex Hamilton has rejected several offers to buy the club.
Secretary Geraint Parry said they were struggling to pay players.
"We need to know where we are going. If administration is the process which takes us forward, then so be it," he said.
The Dragons are due to enter the FAW Premier Cup quarter-final stage with an away tie at Caernarfon, Haverfordwest, Rhyl or TNS.
