THE saga of Aberystwyth Town's long-delayed Welsh Cup third round tie is set to rumble on.
Although the FAW have ordered the three-times postponed match to bge played next Tuesday night at Park Avenue, opponents Holywell Town have appealed.
The tie has been postponed twice as the Halkyn Road pitch was waterlogged and the first re-arranged date at Park Avenue was also called off because the 10-day period for Holywell to appeal against the venue switch had not expired.
Now the Wellmen are questioning the mid-week date with angry manager George Thelwell saying: "We would have to take a depleted team down there in midweek as six of our players are unavailable.
"We have offered to go to Aberystwyth on a Saturday but why can't they come up here in midweek?
"The FAW wouldn't ask the likes of Rhyl to switch a tie but just because we are a smaller club they think they can force us.
"Other clubs in the past have not been told to concede after two postponements, so why should we?" he added.
