A HOST of current and past Welsh Premier League players and managers will do battle in an indoor six-a-side tournament at Cardiff Ice Rink tonight.
The first ever BBC Wales Football Legends tournament features Cardiff, Swansea, Wrexham and All-star teams and will be shown on BBC 2W this Friday at 7.00pm.
Among those with domestic league connections are Jason Perry and Mark Aizlewood (Cardiff), Colin Pascoe (Swansea) and Wayne Phillips, Roger Preece and Martyn Chalk (Wrexham),
With former Rhyl and Wales stopper Neville Southall in the All-stars team are Clayton Blackmore, Glyn Hodges, Malcolm Allen and Tony Rees.
Played on a specially designed indoor carpet to ensure maximum ball control and with three-quarter sized goals for maximum excitement, each team will consist of 10 players with unlimited substitutions.
Based on a simple round-robin league system, each game will last 16 minutes, with the top two sides progressing to the final.
