News story
FORMER Conwy United and TNS striker Carl Furlong has ended an unhappy spell at Runcorn FC Halton to rejoin Colwyn Bay.
Centre-forward Furlong played for the Seagulls three seasons ago before switching to Droylsden, and then was snapped up by Runcorn three months ago.
"Carl has been unable to break into the Runcorn side and was not content to sit on the bench, so we are pleased to have him back," manager Adie Jones told the Daily Post.
"He is a good target-man and wants a fresh start so he'll be in contention for a place in the team against Gresley Rovers on Saturday. "His arrival is timely as James McIlvogue is due to have an operation on his nose that will keep him out for a month."
