DUE to visit Treflan twice in four days to face TNS, Rhyl have failed in their bid to have Wednesday's FAW Premier Cup quarter-final postponed.
The Lillies - who play TNS in the Welsh Premier League on Sunday - asked the FAW for a week´s grace rather than face their rivals twice in four days.
But the FAW have ruled that the game, which is being screened live by BBC Wales, must go ahead as planned.
"It is asking too much of our lads to play two important games like this in such a short space of time," said Rhyl boss John Hulse.
"TNS as full-timers will have time to recuperate but our lads have to go to work and it is only fair we should face them fresh with so much at stake."
Sunday's league meeting was scheduled originally for tonight, but put back two days at the request of S4C TV who will show the game live on their Y Clwb Pel-droed slot.
