WELSHPOOL Town striker Aden Shannon was a thorn in the side of his old team-mates
as he hit a brace in a 2-0 defeat of NEWI Cefn Druids at Maesydre. The win continued the Lilywhites' fine run of form which has taken them to eighth place in the table. December's Welsh Premier player of the month, Neil Thomas, made his debut for Bangor City in a 2-0 win over Connah's Quay Nomads at Farrar Road with first-half goals from a Kevin Scott free-kick and a Paul Roberts penalty.
Haverfordwest County kept Llanelli rooted next bottom with goals from Lee Hudgell, a tenth of the season for Tim Hicks and Wyn Thomas in a 3-0 verdict at Stebonheath Park, watched by Wales manager John Toshack. |
