FORMER Saint Paul Gedman hit four as Bangor City destroyed NEWI Cefn Druids at Plas Kynaston Lane.
Bangor had failed to score in their opening Welsh Premier game at Afan Lido, but took only six minutes to get on the score sheet.
Gedman grabbed a hat trick before half time, his first coming from poor defending.
After Lee Hunt's header had rattled the crossbar, Gedman followed up to poach the second.
Just before the break, Gedman was again on hand to convert Hunt's long throw with the Ancients' defence again in tatters.
Hunt provided Gareth Williams with the Citizens' fourth goal on the hour and minutes later Gedman's own fourth came via the penalty spot after Paul Dowridge handled in the box.
The Ancients grabbed a late consolation goal through Richard Snell.
Paul Gedman was released by TNS at the end of last season and only signed for Bangor as a replacement for Marc Lloyd-Williams last week.
The former English and British Universities player joined Saints from Druids in January 2003 to play on a week by week basis, scoring once in nine appearances.
He has also played at Wrexham, Halifax Town and Brentford.
