SAINTS' Sunday outing to Carmarthen assumes even greater importance after Tuesday night's massive disappointment at home to bottom club Airbus.
Dropping two points to the struggling Wingmakers was the last thought on anyone's mind and no doubt influenced manager Ken McKenna's selection of a less than full strength eleven.
Carmarthen are battling for points to claim a European spot at the end of the campaign and will provide a stern test of character for TNS as they seek to purge a dismal run of league form out of their system.
The last five Welsh Premier games have brought a meagre haul of six points out of a possible 15 and although Saints are still occupying top spot, any slip-up will be seized upon by Caersws or Rhyl, who are waiting in the wings to take over.
Jamie Wood has been struggling with illness all week and John Toner picked up a strain, but both should be in contention for the squad.
