GUILSFIELD SHOCK FOR ALLIANCE LEADERS |
 |
THE promotion race is tight in the Cymru Alliance after Guilsfield shocked leaders
Llangefni Town at the Recreation Ground.
The Guils got a flyer with a goal from Welshpool's Will Thomas and Mike Barton's
side went on to record a 4-1 verdict although it needed late efforts from Sion
Butler and Dan Evans to seal the points.
Bala Town continued on their merry way and closed the gap to two points after
a 3-0 home win over struggling former Welsh Premier outfit Mold Alex, but third
placed Buckley had their match against Cemaes Bay postponed.
AFC Llwydcoed remained top of the Motaquote Welsh League with a 1-0 home win over
troubled Barry Town, Anthony Walters notching his 14th goal of the season.
But Grange Quins remain very much in contention for the title and promotion after
a first-half hat trick from Mattie Davies helped them to a 5-0 win at Goytre United. |
